Freedom to Read Week: February 26 - March 3

This week Canadians across the country celebrated the right to have the freedom to read!

"Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom, which is guaranteed them under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms."

Take a moment to investigate and reflect upon the Bannings and Burnings in History. Copies of some of these books were on display in the library along with a note explaining why the book had been challenged, banned or, at one time, burned!
